Outdoor Range Day
From time to time we open our private outdoor range in Dalton City for special events where Bullet Trap members are invited to use the facility. These special shoots consist of several relays with four to eight shooting points available in each relay. The event fee is $20 per point, which includes range time for up to two shooters sharing the same point and is payable at the time of registration. Our preferred method of registration is via the online booking system that you can access by clicking one of the links below. Alternatively, you may come into the Bullet Trap, or call the front desk and we will be happy to make the booking for you.
Outdoor Range Rules
At the range, relay start and end times must be strictly observed so as not to cause any delays for the next group of shooters. The firing line will be set up at a fixed distance, and we will provide chairs, tables, shooting rests, target backers, and masking tape. You must bring your own targets (ONLY paper targets are allowed), ammunition, eye protection and hearing protection. You may also bring your own shooting rests, sandbags, spotting scope, etc. There will NOT be any items available for purchase, rent, or loan.
All guns must be unloaded and cased until on the firing line. As always, safety is our primary concern. We will have a Range Safety Officer present at all times to control the firing line, and ALL Bullet Trap Rules will be in full force, except that steel-core or steel-cased ammo is permitted.
In case of rain or other inclement weather on the scheduled date, the Bullet Trap will reschedule the event as we deem it necessary . Please include an accurate email in your registration so we may contact you in such a case. Be sure to check your email the day before the event.
This is not a public range and is open only to Bullet Trap Members by special invitation. ABSOLUTELY, no shooting is allowed unless on published range event date when an RSO is present. So even if you don’t receive a cancellation e-mail, if there is no RSO present when you arrive at the range, you are NOT PERMITTED ENTER THE PROPERTY OR SHOOT.
