Classes at The Bullet Trap
It is our intent to be a one-stop-shop for all of your training needs. If you are looking for well-trained instructors, a clean and bright environment, and a proven track record, then come check us out at the Bullet Trap in Macon, IL.Our instructors are all NRA, USCCA and ISP certified, and we have more than 4000 satisfied graduates from our courses. We are one of the few places in the area with an on-site indoor range for live fire exercises, so bad weather has no impact on our training schedule or your comfort.
Double-check that you are qualified to take the course you would like to take. We will not be responsible for you scheduling a course that you do not have the required prior requirements or documentation. If you have any questions prior to booking a class, please contact us.
How to Register Online for The Bullet Trap Classes
- Visit our Online Booking Site to view all upcoming classes and events. You may also click any “Register Now” buttons within this website.
- Select the green “Book” button next to any class or event of your choosing. Then, sign in to your existing account or create a new account. You may link your Facebook account for a streamlined sign-in process.
- Continue filling in information for all participants and complete booking. You will recieve a confirmation email with your registration details. You may access your account anytime to view or cancel your registrations – Access Customer Area Here.
You will receive an e-mail reminder about the class a few days before your scheduled class date.
The Bullet Trap Online Booking System utilizes PayPal for payment processing. No PayPal account is required.
Group Registration
You may register a group of people to take a class together. Please note that you will need each registrant’s information (name, e-mail, phone number, & address) to complete registration. You will also be required to pay for all members of your group at the time you register them. Once you have registered all the members of your group, you will complete the registration the same way you would an individual registration.
Basic Pistol Safety Class (BPSC) and IL Concealed Carry Class (CCC).
The new concealed carry regulation requires 16 hours of classroom instruction and live fire for qualification. The Bullet Trap divides these into two, 8-hour classes. The first eight hours are the Basic Pistol Safety Class (BPSC) and the second 8 hours are the Concealed Carry Class (CCC).

Handgun Marksmanship Clinic
This 4-hour class is split between classroom and range time. The marksmanship clinic will cover Basic Principles of Marksmanship, Controlling Each Shot, Build Consistency with Effective Practice, Diagnose and Correct Bad Habits, and Tips for Competition.
Open to Bullet Trap BPSC and CCW alumni, and Pistol League Members past or present.
Advanced Pistol Class
Advanced Pistol is one of The Bullet Trap Advanced Handgun Courses. Students who attend Advanced Pistol will learn the practical aspects of deploying and using a concealed carry handgun for personal defense. At the end of the course, students should feel confident that they can safely deploy and use their carry gun if the need should ever arise. The course consists of classroom instruction in concepts related to concealed carry, and practical live-fire range exercises where they will apply the classroom concepts using their weapons and equipment.
Students attending Advanced Pistol must be Bullet Trap Members and possess a valid Illinois Concealed Carry Permit (or attended The Bullet Trap CCW class).
